伊恩·麦凯伦
伊恩·麦凯伦出生在英国北部的米尔敦。其父是当地的一名土木工程师。二战爆发前，他们全家搬到了南兰开夏的维根。伊安对戏剧的喜爱得益于父母的鼓励与支持。在他3岁的时候，父母就带他到曼彻斯特观看了名剧《彼得·潘》。他7岁那年的圣诞礼物是一个可以折叠的维多利亚风格的木制剧院模型。他的姐姐还经常带他去维根的小剧院观看业余演员表演的莎翁剧《第十二夜》、《麦克白》等。 　　中学时代，伊安积极参加学校的业余表演。他就读的伯尔顿学校每年春天都要上演一些经典剧目。伊安经常参加演出。每年夏天，他都要随学校的夏令营到离皇家莎士比亚剧院半小时船程的蒂丁顿去，晚上就到莎士比亚剧院观看劳伦斯·奥立佛、费雯·丽和保罗·罗宾逊等人的表演。丰富的演出经验使他中学毕业后理所当然地获得了一份奖学金，到圣凯瑟琳学院学习英文。但两年之后，他的奖学金就被撤消了，因为他要参加21个剧目的演出，无暇顾及学业。此时，他已开始受到新闻界的注意。 　　1961年，他取得了文学士学位。但此刻他已离不开舞台和银幕了。30多年以来，无论是在舞台上还是银屏上，他出演的莎翁作品总是精妙绝伦。除此之外，他在现代作品中表现出的多才多艺为他赢得了英国，欧洲和美国的30 多个奖项。他除了活跃在世界各地的戏剧舞台，在电影、电视和广播业均有上乘表现。在同时代的英国演员中可谓头号“大腕”。 　　伊安·麦克莱恩1971年被选为英国演员公会委员。1979 年被授予“不列颠帝国指挥官”荣誉称号，之后又在1990 年受封大英帝国爵士。1996年因《理查德德三世》获第9届欧洲电影奖上最佳男演员奖，1999年因《诸神与野兽》获第71届奥斯卡奖最佳男主角提名，2002年因《指环王》获第74届奥斯卡奖最佳男配角提名。
